8. Overseas disclosure and storage

Some of the service providers we use operate or store information outside New Zealand and Australia.

This means personal information may be processed or stored in other countries, including the United States and other locations where our service providers operate.

Where required by applicable privacy law, we take reasonable steps in relation to the protection of personal information disclosed or made available overseas.

9. Keeping personal information secure

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.

We limit access to personal information to people and service providers who need it for legitimate business purposes and use established ecommerce and payment providers to handle sensitive transaction information.

Payments made through our website are processed through third-party payment services, and Haven does not store full payment card numbers.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and to meet our legal, accounting, tax and operational obligations.

Different types of information may be retained for different periods.

When personal information is no longer reasonably required, we will take reasonable steps to delete it or de-identify it where appropriate and where we are not required to retain it by law.

You may have rights under applicable privacy laws to request access to personal information we hold about you or ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or out of date.

You can make a request by contacting hello@havenbaby.co.nz.

We may need to verify your identity before providing access to personal information and may refuse or limit a request where permitted by law. If that happens, we will explain our decision where required.
