Anything broadly about Haven, ordering or shipping. Can't find what you're after? Email us at hello@havenbaby.co.nz and our team will get back to you - we're here Monday to Friday.
Ordering & delivery
What are your delivery timeframes?
Auckland: 1–2 business days. Rest of North Island: 2–4 business days. South Island and rural addresses: 4–7 business days. Order before 11:30am on a business day and we'll dispatch it the same day.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes - free shipping on all orders over $150. Below that, standard shipping rates apply at checkout.
How do I track my order?
You'll get a shipping confirmation email with tracking as soon as your order leaves our warehouse. We ship via the NZ Post courier network, so delivery can occasionally be affected by conditions on their end rather than ours.
Can I return a product?
Because formula is a consumable product, we're not able to accept returns once an order has been delivered - we can't guarantee how it's been stored once it leaves us. If your order arrives damaged or faulty, or isn't what you ordered, get in touch at hello@havenbaby.co.nz and we'll sort it out.
If you've ordered the wrong product by mistake, email us within an hour of purchase - we may be able to intercept it before it dispatches, though we can't guarantee this once it's already on its way
Do you offer a bulk discount?
Yes - order 6 cans or more and the discount applies automatically at checkout. This is also the best way to stock up if you're feeding multiples; we don't run a separate multiples discount, but bulk pricing gives you the same saving.
About Haven
Where is Haven made?
Our A2 Cow formula is made using milk sourced from North Island farms, and is formulated and canned in Hamilton. Our Goat formula uses milk from Waikato farms and is manufactured and canned in Auckland. Every batch is made and packed here in New Zealand.
Where can I buy Haven in store?
Haven A2 Cow, Goat and Oat are stocked at every Chemist Warehouse nationwide. A2 Cow is also in all Woolworths stores, and you'll find the range in selected New World and Pak'nSave stores. Can't find us nearby? You can always order directly from this site.
Is Haven certified organic?
No - Haven isn't certified organic. We've focused our formulation decisions on what the research shows matters most for a baby's development, like A2 protein and leaving out palm oil, rather than pursuing organic certification for its own sake.
Can I get a sample before I buy?
Here can be a brief but clear response to the question, giving customers a quick answer without unnecessary details.
Ingredients & allergies
Does Haven contain palm oil?
No. Most infant formulas use palm oil as a cost effective source of fat, but we've deliberately left it out - it's been linked to reduced fat and calcium absorption in babies, which can affect bone density and digestion. We use a blend of full-fat milk, cold-pressed coconut and canola oil, and high-oleic sunflower oil instead. You can read more about our oil blend here.
Is Haven suitable if my baby has a lactose intolerance or milk allergy?
No. Both our A2 Cow and Goat formulas contain naturally occurring lactose and milk proteins, so they're not suitable for babies with a lactose intolerance or a cow's or goat's milk protein allergy. If you suspect either, speak with your GP or paediatrician about a formula designed for that need.
What's the difference between Haven's Cow and Goat formulas?
They're built to very similar specifications and contain the same core ingredients - the main difference is the milk source. Goat milk naturally carries a little more of some vitamins, while cow's milk is slightly higher in folate and B12. Many parents choose based on what suits their baby's digestion, or simply their own preference.
Is Goat formula lactose free?
No. Goat's milk naturally contains less lactose than cow's milk, but it isn't lactose-free - it's still not suitable for babies with a diagnosed lactose intolerance.
Is Haven hypoallergenic?
No - the Haven range isn't a hypoallergenic formula. All of our formulas contain cow or goat milk proteins, so they're not suitable for babies who need a hypoallergenic or extensively hydrolysed formula.
Does Haven contain soy or egg?
Haven doesn't contain egg products. We don't add soy as an ingredient either, though a small trace of soy lecithin is present as a byproduct of how our DHA oil is manufactured - worth knowing if your baby has a diagnosed soy allergy.
Does Haven add artificial sugars or sweeteners?
No. The only sugar in Haven is lactose - the same naturally occurring milk sugar that's the primary carbohydrate in breast milk.
